Dermatology and Chinese herbal therapy (ENG)

In short

Skin diseases are some of the most common conditions affecting patients. In this  course you will learn how to effectively treat the most common dermatological conditions using Chinese herbal medicine - even with granules.

Our skin is truly an amazing organ. Being the largest organ of the human body, it serves many critical functions: protection from harmful external pathogenic factors, regulating body temperature, our sensation and connection to the external world, production of vitamin D essential for bone health and immune function and excretion and absorption functions.

The skin has an incredible ability to repair itself like no other tissue in our body. This ability to renew itself and adapt to various conditions highlights its resilience and complexity.

Learning the TCM principles and mechanisms as they are shown on the skin, like for example wind, blood stasis, heat, dampness, dryness, scorching heat and by learning to understand the ‘language of our skin’, you will gain a clearer and broader understanding of what those pathomechanisms mean inside our body. This will, in turn, support your treatments in general.

Treatment will be focused on the use of Chinese herbal medicine. Lifestyle and dietary advice will also be discussed.
