Gu and Gui: What’s blocking your sovereignty?

In short

In times of great stress, we often move into states of existence that support survival and help us maintain a level of function and sanity that is suboptimal but keeps us waking up each day. When we do this, we become more habituated and less conscious. This act of self-preservation can lead to mindless choices that cause us to abandon ourselves. We stop listening to our bodies and we make choices based on fear, worry, anxiety, or discomfort. We lose the connection between the Shen and Zhi.  This abandonment can create an opening for possession by Gu (parasites) or Gui (ghosts).

In this 2-day course, we will learn how to recognize this form of possession and restore the Heart and Kidney axis so the patient can take back their agency.

What you learn

  • The importance of middle jiao function
  • Earth element as the mediator of the heart-kidney axis
  • The importance of elimination (digestion is a San Jiao issue)
  • The gut-brain axis
  • The nature of Gu & Gui and how to help the patient expel them and restore function

Participants will learn several treatment approaches designed to eliminate Gu & Gui and restore sovereignty.

For whom?

Acupuncturist, Tuina therapist and TCM therapist
