Blood Letting in Chinese Medicine - A 2 day practical course
13-14 January 2017
A major part of traditional acupuncture is the use of specialised needles to elicit a few drops of blood, which can have a profound affect on the way the body functions.
It is arguably the most powerful treatment method that can be applied in Chinese Medicine.
Bleeding is also a major component of Master Tung Acupuncture, known for bringing about a rapid and often permanent therapeutic result. On these 2 day Philip will cover:
• The theory of Master Tung bleeding techniques
• Powerful and very effective protocols for Migraines, Insomnia, Back pain, asthma as well as a Master Tung detoxification method.
• Learn when bleeding is appropriate, as opposed to acupuncture and when to use it
• Practical point location
• Demonstration of Tung Blood letting.
‘The techniques learnt on this day can revolutionise the way you do acupuncture’.
In this advanced course students will have the opportunity to practice these acupuncture bleeding techniques under clinical supervision.

About ‘Tung’ Acupuncture:
It is said that the Tung’s family acupuncture dates back to the Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 20 CE). The oral lineage was passed as a treasured family secret from Father to Son. The last in the dynasty was Tung Ching Ch’ang who was born in 1916 in Shangdon Province. Escaping from the impact of the cultural revolution he fled to Taiwan in 1949. He broke the family tradition and began teaching the secret family points before dying in 1975. He was a Taoist acupuncturist, and treated hundreds and thousands of patients. Most of the 740 acupuncture points are unique to the Tung Family acupuncture system.
This method has been developed independently to TCM and is based on holographic system and 5 element association.
